Zándor-Α is one of the earliest examples of the Quarran Empire’s wrathful vengeance. Once a vibrant, forest-filled world, what now remains of Zándor-Α is anything but lively. Fractured, desolate, and devoid of all life, Zándor-Α is a cold and grey husk. Deep craters scatter its landscapes, and rivers of cracks and crevices snake throughout the barren surface of this long-dead world. Large fractions of Zándor-Α’s terrain, separated from the rest of its mass by the overwhelming onslaught of Quarran warships, float just outside of the planet’s atmosphere, silently orbiting around it like wayward moons.
Zándor-Α is one of the most prominent casualties in the long list of Quarran victims. The planet’s terrain was irreparably irradiated from Quarran military forces, with Zándor-Α’s mineral-rich oceans, expansive forests, and rolling mountain ranges all rendered lifeless. Once a verdant world with red-tinged waterways and swaths of blossoming fields of flowers, trees, and crops, Zándor-Α is now a fractured mausoleum for a species who barely survived extinction.
(Formerly) The Zándoran (ZAWN-dorr-an)
Once the powerful rulers of an ancient empire, the Zándoran were once part of a far-reaching civilization that flourished throughout the Outer Core, Middle Rim and Outer Rim. Believed to have colonized dozens of planets across the Galaxy, the Zándoran Empire dwarfed all other imperial powers during the height of their reign. Nonetheless, it is noted that civilizations brought into the Zándoran Empire prospered under their reign, for unlike their fellow imperial peers, the Zándoran ruling class actively incorporated the social, cultural, political, and economic systems present on each planet. In other words, so long as conquered planets swore military fealty to the Zándoran and paid tribute, they were largely left to their own devices.
According to recovered records, the Zándoran Empire advocated cohesion and stability through co-reliance and collaboration. In return for their military loyalty, each planet within the Zándoran Empire would be given a seat and vote in the Zándoran Imperial Senate, and would have preferential access to Zándoran markets, medical facilities, and libraries. This allowed all subjects of the Zándoran Empire to have a voice in Imperial affairs, and could request formal assistance from the leading powers if necessary. Moreover, all planets who declared themselves under Zándoran rule were provided permanent detachments of Zándoran military forces, which frequently incorporated the planet's local warriors, military knowledge and traditions whenever possible. Thus, an intimate bond between conquered and conquerors was forged, and through generations of struggle and progress, the lines between Zándoran natives and their incorporated citizens blurred as they all united under their Imperial Banners.
