X’Zebo is a medium-sized planet filled with forests, mountains, hills, and fields. A remote world in the Far Reaches of the Galaxy, it is an asylum for the survivors and refugees of Quarran incursions. Now home to many miscellaneous species fleeing the Quarran’s wrath, X’Zebo’s hospitable environments make it perfect for colonization. Its complex system of reliable rivers, coupled with high levels of seasonal snowmelt from the lengthy mountain ranges, makes sedentary settlement relatively easy for most species. Lacking any sentient indigenous species, X'Zebo is a prime target for extraterrestrial pilgrims. As such, large portions of X’Zebo’s population are wayward immigrants from other worlds, with the most prominent being Heitherin exiles, former Aplexan scientists, and banished Morasapien hunters.
X’Zebo is a medium planet located in a sector of space which, colloquially known as “The Unknown Regions,” is largely unexplored. Located within the Far Reaches of the Galaxy, there are few cohesive star charts and maps in existence. Due to its secluded location, X’Zebo has avoided much of the conflicts and controversies plaguing the Galaxy. Moreover, there are no Stargates situated anywhere near The Unknown Regions, deterring all but the most adventurous and experienced pilots from venturing near the area. Since little is known about the solar systems located within The Unknown Regions, with no-one confirming the existence of any hospitable or resource-rich worlds, few have bothered to examine the area closely. More to the point, any and all colonists and refugees who manage to land on X’Zebo refuse to reveal the exact coordinates of their new home to anyone outside of the planetary system. Simply put, living on X’Zebo is not a privilege doled out to just anyone, but only to those who earn their asylum.
The Morasapiens (MORR-uh-SAY-pee-AN)
X’Zebor, X’Zebo’s primary moon, is ecologically similar to the planet it orbits. A medium-sized forest moon, its terrain is perfect for additional settlement. In particular, X’Zebor’s temperate ecosystems and high levels of annual precipitation makes it the perfect home to Morasapien exiles. These banished and banner-less warriors are condemned to a fate far away from their swampy home world, and now consider X’Zebor Moras III’s distant cousin, a moon comparable to their home world in many ways. Though not particularly suited for the mountainous regions of the woody moon, the Morasapien exiles have adapted their native teachings to the surroundings of their new home. As such, many new Morasapien Houses have sprung up, each organized across the moon’s surface. The three largest of these families are the Winterwails, the Frost-Fangs, and the Ember-Eyes. However, most of the human colonists within the system reside on the eastern hemisphere of X’Zebo.
The Humans (HOO-mann)
Survivors of Earth’s Final Night, when Quarran forces completely annihilated their homeworld, only a few thousand humans remain. Though the whereabouts of most of these refugees are unknown, it is presumed that most of them have flocked to the Far Reaches—and in particular, X’Zebo—in hopes of evading any pursuing Quarran forces. It seems that their main goal is survival. As such, colonizing other life-supporting planets is an attempt to rebuild their destroyed civilization. It appears that, despite facing wide-spread discrimination from the other occupants of their new home, these human colonists have managed to reform small societies across X'Zebo's surface, each with the intent to repopulate the human race from the brink of extinction.
