Emrálda emits high levels of alpha and beta radiation, in green colors emanating from its core. Gradually receding to yellow waves, the sun’s unique coloration gives it the common name, “The Lifegiver,” for its stable conditions. However, like many other stars, any interplanetary vehicles that come too close to the star begin to combust, and eventually, explode.
Emrálda is a fairly stable star for its size and coloration. Although it’s temperature barely exceeds 8,000 K°, its unique radiation grants all species in its orbit to have irregular amounts of stem cells. This allows these flora, fauna, and sentient species to be more physically diverse, healthy, and adaptable than many other species in the Galaxy. Emrálda is also revered for its ability to supercharge photovoltaic cells and other solar-powered electronic devices within its range. This has allowed local planetary systems to utilize solar energy to great effect.
